Parker’s Heritage Collection 1981 – 27 Years Old Bourbon Whiskey is a limited edition release by Heaven Hill Distillery. It was distilled in 1981 and aged for 27 years before being bottled at 96 proof (48% alcohol by volume).
This bourbon is named after Parker Beam, who was the Master Distiller at Heaven Hill from 1975 to 2013. He personally selected the barrels of 1981 bourbon that were used for this release.
The nose of this whisky is rich and complex with notes of caramel, oak, vanilla, and dried fruits. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of dark chocolate, toffee, maple syrup, and a hint of smoke. The finish is long and warming, with a gentle spiciness and a touch of sweetness.
